A lot of people react like that when I expose my theory, it's almost as if they fear that if I'm right, DRK will never see the light. I am by no means a DRK-basher, I just think that my idea is backed up by currently 9 out of 9 existing jobs in the game, and that as far as the game works, I could see it more probably for a whole Great Sword-based class with its own DRK job to come out, rather than DRK coming from PLD..

I think adding a Greatsword DPS class would be a horrible idea, giving Marauder or Gladiator a dps job would give them versatility and more likely to be seen for quick grinding stuff.
