vanity is a good reason to do old content , u help newbies to pass that content and u can get rewarded . thats why u still have ppl doing stone vigil , brayflox normal ,ect

telling high geared ppl NO , not allowed to loot on that weapon in stone vigil ,or nop not allowed to loot battlemage robe because there is a low lvl that need it more than u is sure a good way to help lowbies
