So i finally hit 50, doing all the non EXP quests that unlock dungeons and stuff.
Farming tomes and doing dungeons.

Did Ifrit HM a few times.
And then, i did another Ifrit today.
Lo and behold there was another DRG in group, but luckily he had a Gae Bolg and Allagan gear / other much higher level stuff.

So when Ifrits Harpoon drops, and me still using a Flame Lietenant's Spear, immedietly thinks "yes!".

So imagine my annoyance when he rolls need higher than my roll, exits without a word and instantly logs off.

Is this what i'm going to be looking forward to at any roll, with another higher iLvl'd DRG in a DF?

But the reason he did it was for vanity. Which is kinda silly when there's another DRG in the group - I always pass if someone else actually needs what dropped and I'm just after it for vanity.

most likely done for vanity however he was doing Ifrit for no other reason than to get the lance as well and with the way drops are no one after the drop is going to pass on it. Otherwise he would be stuck doing ifrits for some time longer, just have to suck it up I am afraid.

He did the same instance for the same amount of time and has the same amount of right to that weapon.

Well I can understand how that would annoy you, but the other drg didn't really do anything wrong.
Maybe he/she really wants ifrit's weapon and was farming ifrit all day hoping it will drop.

Clearly the other DRG lacks common courtesy, for example if I get a DRG weapon drop from a Primal I do a quick scan of what weapons any other suitable classes have, and if they have lower ilvl weapons than the drop I just pass on it and let them have it, otherwise I just roll Need.

Even if I had a High Allagan Grimoire of Healing, my sole reason doing that DF would most likely be for the book. I'd still roll need on it.. What if the drg has ran it for 100 times and was overjoyed that his weapon finally dropped? it's not courtesy anymore, it's what you went there for. -__- people

Sorry, but he put in effort and deserves to roll on it. Obtaining it for vanity could've been the only reason for him entering that fight to begin with.

your being a sore loser whole reason for the need/greed system, other wise people would find a way to ninja everything.
get and ilvl60 then get your relic.

and yes in DF everyone will greed everythig they dont have.
