    Glamour and Frontline

Since frontlines comes out next major patch, I was wishing we can keep our glamours, only to main subclass in that world. If it's main subclasses only there will be no confusion as to who is what class. I mention this because I for one will be living there most likely when it comes out and PvE will cease to exist for me xD and I love my bad ass looking Paly atm the way he is in PvE and mixed PvP ilvl 90 gear.

Glamours in PvP is actually a pretty good topic to look at. If someone glamours their full PvP set, or disguises what class they are using glamours, this gives an advantage. Should that advantage exist for anyone? Do we want droves of people glamoured in crafting gear to populate frontlines? I guess you can also ready set your weapon to hide until you draw it.

    Things to consider.

    "What are we up against?"

"Looks like a bunch of DoH's."

    "Not good..."

I'd rather this happen than having to wear mismatched outfit just because I want to mix and match gears for certain stats. If anything, I feel like glamour is fair game and should be worked in for frontline zones/instances. If people want a way to distract you during pvp, they will do so with skills and tricky movements anyway. Using glamour to fake your class isn't gonna work so well after the first week.

Simple fix for you all, just have the system say what jobs everyone is on at the start and prevent job changes.

Or ... You could look at the weapon. A Warrior can't exactly glamor his Axe to look like a staff.

If there's a worry for confusion, I think SE can disable cross class/job glamour on weapon. So if I see someone with a sword and shield it has to be a PLD.

But at least let us toy around with our clothes.. DoM have some nice skirts and shoes/boots that I liked but I can't put them on a DoW

I don't know where this was posted, but Yoshi actually came out and said glamours won't be available for PVP due to unfair advantages it gives to disguise gear. Although, I haven't checked to see if glamour is currently in our current PVP. Maybe someone can confirm this for me.

This is true simply because you can glamour pvp gear to look like non pvp gear. This will make it so people wont know how much morale they are dealing with and therefore make it imbalanced. Unfortunately I dont think there is a work around either. PvP = disabled glamours.

SE could just put <PLD> <CNJ> <WAR> or whatever next to the persons name whilst in a PvP environment.

I'm guessing there will be PS3 limitations though, just like everything else.

There is an option in the character window to display or hide your weapon when it is sheathed. You won't see the axe until they are ready to crack open your skull with it.
