Combo mode solo / even party sounds like a nice idea, being able to cast " Fire + Fire 2" would make "Fire 3" for example, possible ending with a massive pillar of flame / lava...etc w/e.

Sort of like "Blue Mage" in FFXI soloing "Skillchains", but i'd reccomend giving all actions (for all classes)
an option to skillchain, wheter it's debuffing, enhance, dot or plain mana burst.

In my opinion, BR is good in theory, but I agree wholeheartedly that It needs some Major Fixing.

On a sidenote, Dia/bio>Dia/bio>Maim is a very good Combo for Damage, Light Strike> Heavy Swing inflicts Status effects(you can see below the Target's HP Bar that there will be a red Icon with the appropriate sign)Physical Def. down.

I also hope SE would give a sign for those who stacked up for BR coz It's really crucial to know who does what. Maybe put like Glowing Aura around the players who've stacked ws.

I like this idea, maybe even have their name-tag in the party-list window glow-pulsing slowly.

I may be alone in this, but I actually like BRs. I like them more than skillchains for a couple reasons; less reliance on perfect timing which lets face it is extremely difficult to deal with when lag enters the equation, there are not 100s of combination you need to remember in order to do the right one for the mob you're fighting, and there are several very clear UI indicators that a BR is being started.

I realize that these things could be corrected with a different implementation, but that's just a direct comparison to skillchains in XI.

Will agree the br system is far more flexible and potent then the sc system ever was. Hell i managed to do a regiment of ruin(i think) with a friend who was out goofing around on bot. (Stone throw -> Maim) Poor Gertrude didn't see the 2k Maim i dished out coming, Hell even i was surprised by it.

Now if they keep the same basic framework and allow auto attack to continue working along with adding in actual animations for the successful regiments it would be darn near perfect. Ya know the thing that really makes br's brutal and i mean bording on exessive force and treding into possible war crime territory is that even with out triggering a successful regiment (which like i said earlier is pretty hard not to do) you still gain the benefit of the progressive damage buff for the skills further down the line.
