I thoroughly enjoyed the FATE grinding. I'm working on my 3rd Atma set at the moment and am half way done with the books for my curtana/shield. I enjoyed the time spent, the sense of accomplishment and I for one do not want the system to change.

.......The lucky few profit/gain an advantage from it and never worry again while the less fortunate wish for a better, more balanced system. However, because the more fortunate players haven't had the same experience, they get the mentality that the others just haven't put in as much effort or just don't want to let others progress like they did because then they wouldn't be special anymore.

Its pretty much what's happening in this game now.

A lot of ppl still think ppl the complain wanted it easy, when it is about the latency, cast bar animation delay combine with instant kill mechanics that got ppl complaining.

Ppl nowadays just lack apathy, they base everything on "Personal experience" and plain simple "My ideas and experience above all else."

Don't believe? Try creating a thread telling ppl you don't really have much time in your hands because of work/school/family and can't form a static.

You will be invaded with White Knights commenting that they have a wife and 3 kids, working 12hour shifts, attend private school for 3 hours daily, brings kids to schools, and still have time to run drugs for their local cartel, shoot a porn movie, kick some neighbourhood kittens and puppies before they went with their static to farm coil for hours daily.

i got my high post count by being an active member of the forums for the entire 3 years the game has been out.

all i am saying is that many people, including myself, asked for a grind to be added back into the game because EVERYTHING else was made for another type of player. now that one thing in this entire game is added that pleases those of us that asked for it is put in game that isn't even for the best piece of gear in game people want to cry like a bunch of 5 year old school girls.

are there parts of the quest regarding atmas i would like to see changed?
yes, i would love to see the low level fates not be involved at all and see it only lvl40 and above fates.

is this the exact type of grind i asked for when i asked for the game to have some grind?
no, but as i did ask for grinding to be added back in some way i'll take what i can get.

do i want the quest to stay exactly like it is from now on?
no, i think it should have the drop rates increased and myth lowered later on, but i do not feel like it should be done yet. they should not ease things until the following patch.

i just think when something new comes out it should be directed towards the highly dedicated to work towards. this type of content gives players, like myself, something we can do each day after a patch is put in and if it's done well like this past patch was we will not be out of things to do before the next patch comes out. once the next patch comes out make the current and previous content easier to allow those behind the chance to catch up and complete the previous content they were either unable(titan ex) or unwilling to put the time into(atma). this method gives players of all time allowances, skill levels, and dedication a chance to down all content in due time. sure it may not be when the patch first comes out for everyone, but it does allow them to complete it all eventually.

if you find that mentality a troll then you really need to look into the meaning of trolling.

i dont really see the point in complaining about atmas, the 2nd part of the quest is just as much if not more work. you get more than just the atmas for doin it, u get tons of seals to spend on ventures or philos items, u get tons of choco xp if u want. Nobody says you have to spend 12 hrs straight trying to get it, if you dont get it, take a break an try something else, there is plenty of other stuff to do in the game, all of which also takes alot of time to complete now. You see alot of people walkin around with completed levi weapons yet? No. Granted the levi people do complain about it as much as the atma people lol, an they r getting better rates so you all prolly will too soon enough.

The people cry about atmas probably have not made it to the 2nd part yet. But be sure as soon as they do they will cry on this forum how unfair blablabla "vomit" it is.

yes, and you have to remember back then there was no post limit, you had roikken/belgainrofl/jennestasia on the forums starting threads to cause fights, and back then the community was nowhere near as caustic as it is today. it was very easy to sit in one thread and talk to the same few people for a long time back and forth even if they didn't agree with you because it wasn't insta attack and people was more willing to look at all sides of thinking.

I'll reiterate what I've said before.

Grinding FATEs blows and is not fun. As such, I'm not going to do it. Fortunately for me, there are plenty of other fun things to do in the game right now.

Improve FATEs, or stop forcing them. They present no challenge. The implementation of the Mirror of the Whorl as an upgrade path to an i100 weapon, while still a strenuous grind, at least presents challenging content that you need to be awake in to do.

If it wasn't for the "Relic" weapon progression, I wouldn't care in the slightest, cause I can just get another weapon. I just don't want my job defining item be left behind because of an arbitrary time sink bottle neck.
