And a Dark aligned Primal, like Lich, that if you die from an unrecoverable situation, such as falling off the end of the arena, Lich then animates your corpse to fight against your own party.

There needs to be a holy based primal like Ultima from FFXII. Oh that reverse. I imagine the healers freaking out over the party's hp. lol

Also that dark primal idea sounds a lot like the bosses from Demon souls (Old Monk) and Dark Souls 2 (Mirror Knight) where PC's are summoned to fight as/with the boss.

I don't agree with this bit, as you are falling into the middle of the Rhotano Sea and sinking down.

However this idea is great.

You could tweak it slightly so that if you are KO'd for more than 30 seconds your corpse also becomes reanimated. A REAL extra penalty for dying.

Oh I know he wasnt, but while scouring the ff wiki looking for someone who would suit the dark/undead type of feel, Lich was the only name that popped up that really suits. He is considered a summon-type creature from earlier games, specifically FF Tactics, which we already know they love to take little bits of influence out of that universe already.
