Or you could just do the dungeon again and hope it drops that time.
The game is already too easy as it is and people keep asking SE to make everything even easier and less time consuming to get
I have yet to see an armour drop from the last boss in the new dungeons, but I'll just keep doing them until I get what I want.

I think your missing the point, dungeons have never been about being able to make 120gil from items that drop off a final boss of it
You said it yourself you have yet to see an armor drop off of last boss, where did I say I'd like it to be less time consuming? I wasn't doing it for the gear, I was helping others, should they be punished because you don't think dungeons should drop armor?
