Rank 10 chocobo problems! (Companion)

Id like to share something they posted back in September regarding this issue...

..where Camate posted they were planning to introduce a way to reallocate companion skill points. But.. its been seven months lol. Unless someone can find something more recent than the above.

So it seems the chocobo reset thing is very hard to implement (doubt it), there is some problem they foresee in implementing it, or is very low in their list of priorities/don't care right now (most likely). But either way id really like to hear any response from the devs regarding this.

Yeah thats the one I was talking about! Thanks for finding it. I read the date wrong though. It said 9-12... So I assumed it was 9 december lol

As others have said its been a while, surely they must have some news on this unless it is very low priority.

I did hear a rumor they were completely redesigning the companion system but I duno if that it is true.

I hope so because they are pretty much pointless and when they were first talked about they mentioned we could go into dungeons with them 2 players and 2 chocobos, but in their current state they wouldn't be of much help.

Started working on my chocobo, got to 4 ranks in healing before i realized, hey, they give out special barding for rank 10 in a tree. I did all healing, but would have rather gotten DPS. Stopping leveling because I see no point any more.

i'm assuming that we're getting more companions eventually seeing that the "companions" button says "companions" not just companion, either our other mounts or one chocobo for each nation which will be equivalent to all 3 companion jobs, at that time then they will allow a reset item,

Well there will be the chocobo breeding system that's currently in the works. Its possible we might have various chocobos to level up.

im currently rank 6 in tank tree...which is the tree I intended to go with since day 1...cant wait to get the tank barding

Bump thread for exposure.

I had no idea about specialized bardings until it was too late. I planned on having a healer chocobo, but of course (for utility) I figured I better at least throw 1 point into DPS so it could do more damage when I didn't need healing. /facepalm

Now I just want to reset my points to get that WHM barding.....
