Rank 10 chocobo problems! (Companion)

I put all my points into healing, then I realized I wanted the DPS barding :-/

So wish I could re-do it now. Even a start-over would be appreciated.

I have been putting all my points into dps but i really really want the whm barding to match mine!!!

I want to be able to reset too... I'm currently at level 5 tanking choco. It was a good choice for me for the most part as I was leveling WHM and SCH, now I'm slowly moving toward DPS and tank, I sort of want to be able to reset it to healing choco. Also the barding will go very nice with my WHM...

I mostly stop leveling my chocobo because of the issue.

I thankfully had all points into one tree, but in the time I was leveling it the amount of people who I came across and said they didn't know you had to have every point into the one tree for the barding was quite astonishing. I'd agree for this as well.

As I unlocked the companion, I have expected something like needing all points in 1 role to get the barding. I didn't put a point in any role until it was clear. But the info about it should be ingame. At the end of the quest or in the info-box about the companion. Or change it as a achivement reward with "Companion Attack role at rank 10" as achivement text.

It is not only the barding. I have chosen a DD companion and I regret it. Birdie sucks at DD'ing lol. I invested several points for healer in the later levels and it turned out to be much better.

For me it is the same as with my 1st chars..what I initially thought was a good idea turned out to be a bad one. I was able to reset my skill points with the Keeper's Hymn so why shouldn't it be possible for the Choccobo? People make skilling mistakes, that's no news.

I can imagine it is no high priority for SE and it's ok but the discussions about this go on since half a year already. I do not really understand where the hard point in this matter is and why it can't be implemented along the other finetuning they do in their small patches.

Let me just reskill my birdie whenever I want to. If you fear, some use it to get all bardings, just prevent it. If a player has one barding, there is no chance he will ever get another one besides starting the Game again with a new char. But I do not see the problem if people want all the bardings and respec their choccobo thrice. Collectors will always try to collect. Breaking news, I know. Make the hymn for it really expensive (50.000 GC seals for example) so it's player's choice to do it or not.
