Hi,

I'm a bit frustrated about how the prices go down for food. Well, if you farm everything, you can lower the prices, that's sure, but are you going to farm buffalo milk or go and kill r70 mobs all the time to just get a few pieces of mats?

What about making fixed prices for the typical foods that everybody is using and dont make it so low that we can earn money from it?

For example: You can buy Miqabobs in Uldah for 9k from an NPC.

Why are we selling them for 2k? What about making the price 4k or 5k?

Culinarians have no chance of making money if ppl lower the prices like this.

Let me hear your thoughts.

What would help me as a harvester is knowing what ingredients you all actually need bc there are so many I usually just NPC them which leads to a lack of supply which makes ingredients harder and hence need to farm yourselfs which lead to the desire for high prices.

What ingredients do you all need to make the best food and let us gatherers get it for you instead of deleting them out of the economy (NPCing)?

Sun Lemon for Tuna Miqabobs, Popotoes for Shepherds Pie, .... there are a few good pages on the web with all the recipes. Well, or just let us know what food you want and we can focus on it!

Haha, I don't use food at all and I haven't touched cooking (don't plan to either). But I do like harvesting/botany. Like I said, I tend to NPC my ingredients I get harversting/botanizing(did I just make up a word....yep, think so) bc there are so many and they are rarely being sold by people (guessing most people NPC) so we have no idea of value of them. Not to mention with so many ingredients and only 10 spots per retainer it can be hard to risk taking up a spot with something you have no idea of its value. If I knew what food was good or useful I would sell those ingredients for sure.

PS. I will sell my sun lemons and popotoes from now on.

Shephers Pie: Popoto, Antelope Shank, Wild Onion, Salted Butter, Coerthas Carrot, Black Pepper, Mineral Water
Knights Bread: Mineral Water, Chicken Egg, Highland Parsley, Cinnamon, Midland Basil, Rye Flour, Honey
Tuna Miqabob: Garlean Garlic, Table Salt, Sun Lemon, Olive Oil, Midland Basil, Ash Tuna

To mention only these three. If you search the web for recipes you will find all of them on different FFXIV Supporting sites.
