err.... I think Yoshi himself already answered OP on his latest letter.
Not really... at least, not directly in any fashion. All he basically said they'll utilize the feedback from Atma with regards to the Novus chain.
You can't even call that indirectly addressing Atma's, it's addressing Novi.

That's fair. It's nice to nice they are reviewing the feedback & taking it into consideration. I just feel like a Direct Statement needs to be made at this point, with regards to the thousands of postings on Atma Grinding & the sheer time elapsed.
As said in the OP, it's just utterly neglectful now from a business standpoint.

You... HAVE played mmos for awhile, yes? Such a tactic, withholding comment until it is truly needed. This is extremely common for MMO devs to do.
And is it really needed? Many of us wholeheartedly disagree.
Disagreements with devs is not grounds for their need to cater to your demands.
Who's asking them to cater... asking them to respond whether good news or bad, and fairly I believe (and do many others who are of the opposite mind to those who "wholeheartedly disagree" in your camp).
Also, just because a precedent of behavior is set amongst developers... it doesn't mean they 'ought' or that it's a healthy pattern (not saying that you're insinuating that, by any means).
I suppose my point is that commonplace shouldn't dictate SE's unique relationship with THEIR playerbase.

I could care less whether it's a "we're going to change it" response or a "working as intended, not going to change" response...
But I think the thousands of posts & probably hundreds of threads spanning every language merits a response.

While it may not be the exact response you want, they have heard the whiny folks, and are considering changing/future quests.
Let's see - 2 million players (by their count), "hundreds of threads" buy your count...that doesn't make up a large portion of the population base. If you don't like it, don't do it.
