They should raise the drop rate with the release of 2.3.
If unknown tomes do drop from CT2 then there's no reason to keep the mirror so rare.
I'd personally make it 1/10. You still have to roll against 7 other people.

Could alter it so people who already have a Leviathan weapon can roll need while those still waiting for a weapon can only roll greed? Should increase peoples odds.
Edit: Assuming that's not how it's done already, I would'nt know.

I'm very biased by saying this, because I got a Tidal Wave Staff and I'm an RNG joke because I got my mirror before I ever saw the Wave Staff drop and I've been stuck in certain zones for more than a month before I could get an ATMA drop (not complaining about this), but it's probably fine as it is. The Animus and Tidal Wave weapons are meant to be seen as a long term thing, and if mirrors drops rates are increased, it kinda kills the purpose. It's also only 5 ilvs higher, so it's not, "WOAH, INSANE INCREASE IN DPS!!" either. You can also get an ilv 100 weapon from T7, and I know not a lot of people want or like to hear this, but you can definitely do T6 and 7 with an i95 weapon (which you can easily get from Levi or T5). You don't really "need" an ilv 100 if you're not doing BC, especially taking into account that everything before SCoB is considered "overkill" with average i90 equipment, and now we have ilv 100 armor and three ways of acquiring ilv95 weapons.

The fact that you can spam Levi is the reason the mirror rate is so low, not even sure how this is even a question. They already gave lazy people the animus, go do that and be happy you get a free i100 that's shiny for simply running around doing low level fates and super easy dungeons.

You want one of the best weapons in the game? Ok!
You complain that you need to work for it? Either deal with it or look for something else to do.

Best weapons in the game? You mean behind High Allagan, Zodiac, and Relic Novus? Also, Relic Animus and Worn Zodiac are equivalent.
There are 5 weapons at least as good or better than tidal weapons, that's not "one of the best weapons in the game" by any stretch of the imagination.

Zodiac is part of the relic quest. I believe you mean Gerolt since you specify Worn Zodiac (which I can only assume you mean Weathered Gerolt Masterworks weapon).Best weapons in the game? You mean behind High Allagan, Zodiac, and Relic Novus? Also, Relic Animus and Worn Zodiac are equivalent.

so there are only 5 Weapons that are as good or better, and if I remember right, only novus and high allagan are better so its 2 weapons that are better .. so in all there are 6 endgame weapons to aim for including this one.Best weapons in the game? And you are picking "raisins" not remotely seeing point of what I am saying.
OK shorter
You want something that is rare? Either deal with it being rare or stop attempting to get it.

Yep. You're right. The drop rate is abysmal. I just farmed the wave weapons when the patch came out and called it with Leviathan Extreme. The i5 level difference is not really worth it for the amount of time you would potentially need.
I still do Leviathan from time to time when I need a bit of soldiery to reach cap and don't feel like running a dungeon or do a couple of runs for a change of pace from the Brayflox grinds. If I get a mount or a mirror then good, but no way I'm wasting my time farming them.

The whole appeal of getting an animus was to continue upgrading it in the future. Tidal was a dead end path. You get your 100 and that's far as you go. You can't upgrade it anymore.
Animus was a long term investment and a much smarter choice to go with.
