Leviathan Extreme Mirror Drop Rate Too Low

I think people are failing to realize that players are not supposed to obtain everything in an MMO. The Leviathan weapon is mostly for vanity purposes. It's rare and not everyone is supposed to have one.

Spend 1300 Soldiery and you'll have an I-level 100 weapon that can be later upgraded to an I-level 110 weapon. At I-level 110, you are 5 levels under the current maximum i-level. Did everyone complain when their i-level 90 relics were 5 levels under the max? no. I-level 110 is completely fine and "barely" weaker than an I-level 115 weapon.

Spend your soldiery seals and upgrade to i-level 110. That's all you'll need. Everything else is for vanity purposes.

Not everyone has a good static they can clear Turns 6, 7 and 8 with. Without the mirror and without animus, you're stuck with an i95 weapon.

You are mistaken. You can't even get the weathered weapon without an unknown tomestone

You realize UAT drops from T7 right? Go figure what's the % of the player base who could clear T7.

Then tell me again what use it is for you to save up and spend 3 weeks of tome just to be contented with a weathered weapon when you could either get a Tidal Weapon or Animus. It's complete waste of 1,300 tomes if you don't have a Sands of Time to go with it immediately, or the following week you get your weathered weapon. You could have spent part or whole of the 1,300 on other gear upgrades than hanging on to a weathered weapon for weeks.

And then again, Sands of Time comes from T8. Tell us again what's the % of players who could clear it.

the drop rate is fine, lets look at the other ways to get an ilvl 100, shall we?

relic animus: grind out 12 drops via fates, then drop 13500 myth to gain the stats
gerolt's masterworks: 1300 soldiery (3 weeks of capping) and then a drop from turn 7 (unidentified allagan tomestone). a drop from turn 8 needed to raise its item level to 110 (allagan sands of time)
tidal wave weapon: get the weapon from levi Ex, then grind until you are lotted a mirror of whorl.

surprisingly tame compared to the rest.

Yes I agree, please increased the drop rate. I seen it only drop once, and it was in Duty Finder >.< out of 100 Levi I did. Not only the drop is low, we have to compete with 7 other players to get the mirror.

Vanity/glamour is a DISGUSTING excuse. I use glamour a lot and change my gear's look a lot but if it's going to be used as an excuse for extremely poor and lazy itemization, I'd rather see the glamour system gone.

Yeah, I think they're too low. If you're capable of regularly killing Leviathan, then getting a Tidal Wave weapon should be considered significantly faster to obtain than an Animus weapon - which requires you to complete nothing that's any more difficult than the i55 Light Party dungeons - as a tradeoff/'reward' for being able to complete a moderately difficult fight. As it is, you can easily spend as much time on Leviathan as you would need to spend on going through the entire Atma/Animus rigamarole, and still never win a drop for a mirror.

It doesn't make sense to me that the Tidal Wave weapons are particularly hard to get ahold of in the first place. They're good, and they're cool, and they're useful, and everything, but they are still third-rate weapons, clocking in not only behind the High Allagan 'prestige' weapons, but also the un-Weathered Soldiery weapons. It's a little bit like if 2.1 required you to accumulate 10 Rowena's Tokens from the EX Primal fights, and then as a reward let you trade them in for the i80 Titan weapons. And while the Animus weapons are also third-rate, they carry the promise of being upgradeable again in the future. Tidal Wave weapons are only going to get more and more outdated.
