Leviathan Extreme Mirror Drop Rate Too Low

I've been hearing the drop rate for the mirror is approximately 3%, rounded up to 5% just to give a little bit of wiggle room.

Consider this: If you are not running Leviathan X with a static, you are going to be rolling against 7 other people if the mirror drops. So, your odds of getting a mirror are approximately 0.625% from a single run.

With a 0.625% chance, it will take on average 160 clears for a given person to get their mirror. Approximately 1 out of every 25 people will require over 500 clears to get their mirror.

That means, for every 3 groups that run leviathan, there is one person will take over 500 runs to get theirs.

Now, lets look at that in terms of time. Lets say each kill takes 10 minutes including loading buffing, and reset. On average, it will take 26.6 hours with a 100% kill rate, with the unlucky 5% (478 kills) taking over 79.6 hours.

Obviously, these numbers get worse if the drop rate is indeed lower, like I have been hearing - at 3% taking on average 267 kills, with the unlucky 5% taking over 796 kills.

Am I the only one that finds those numbers absurd?

That is why I went for my relic animus weapon I am already done while I know some people are still trying to farm leviathan.

Exactly. I've only killed Levi EX 4 times for the fun.

And now laughing (just kidding that kind thou) at my primal LS mates who are still using i95 weapons and banging their head on mirrors. Some of them realized this earlier and started on their ATMA quest and only to find out that the amount of people doing it probably dropped by a whooping 80% and crying for help to clear the FATEs, lol.

Yes. It's far too low. Too low for me to bother grinding. I'm not going to try for something unless I have a decent chance. Instead of a 2% drop, it should be 10%.

Atma has a low drop rate but if it drops then there's a 100% chance you will get it. Not true with mirror. You have a 1/8 chance. Grind for a 2% drop then a 12.5% chance of actually winning it. I don't think so, Square. I don't think so.

    This.

I cleared Leviathan 2-3 days after 2.2 and got my wave staff. I've had no reason to do Leviathan again since because I refuse to farm with those kind of odds. I went for my animus instead.

If SE wants to keep primals relevant they need to have realistic droprates. They think they are prolonging the content with those droprates but they just turn people away instead.

But SE also runs the risk that people will also be turned away if they don't need any more mirrors.

Better than people turning away because they think it's a waste of time.

If you don't do it because you think it's a waste of time, then you're guaranteed not to get a mirror. It's supposed to take a long time because it's an ilv 100 weapon. You can either farm for Animus, or farm for a mirror. SE designed the mirror drop rate in order to keep the highest amount of people doing Leviathan, so "hardcore" players don't spam it, get whatever mirrors they need, and stop doing the fight altogether. It's not supposed to be easy to get, and it takes time. It's also worth mentioning that Levi is not even a hard fight, so it's not like joining a Titan PF and having a low rate of success.

The mirror may have a low drop rate, and you may have to compete with others, but you only need one mirror. There's a 100% chance that an atma dropped will be yours, but you need to gather 12, and THEN do the books. 10% will make people not do Leviathan faster than now because everyone and their mothers will have a mirror, which will limit the number of people farming the fight and increase queue/wait times. An ilv100 weapon should not be a week to a month-long process. ilv 100 is third best weapon ilv in the game, and should take time to acquire it, like it does now.

Its incredibly disappointing, because I thought by working my way through the primals and actually doing something other than killing low level mobs would be a faster way of getting an i100 weapon, when ironically, killing the low level mobs is also faster and guaranteed once you get your atmas.
