PSV remote play, long way from PS4, and FFXIV

    Hey everyone,

So I am going to be leaving on an 8 hour trip to head home for easter this weekend where I will have access to a plethora of wifi connections, but no PS4 :<.

I want to be able to keep up with my beast tribe quests and other dailies as well while I am gone (cause it will be nice to have some interaction in the world while I'm heading to bed lol) if this is possible! However, I don't really have any experience with the PSvita's remote play functionality and figured someone could clear it up for me!

SOOOO: Is it possible to use the PSvita's remote play function to activate a possibly powered off (or sleep mode PS4) through a wireless network 8hrs away, log in to FFXIV, and then on top of that run my beast tribe dailies and what not? I can leave the PS4 powered on and also connected to the network

I am able to play 80 miles away (Columbus OH -> Dayton OH) using the Nvidia Shield without issues. I am running the PC version though. I would assume its no different using the PS4/PSV as long as you have 5 mb of upload speed and a properly configured network.

The best Final Fantasy was the one everyone played at age 12!

Hmm I aren't sure on much with the PS4 remote play, however you could set up the PS3 to switch on when a remote play connection was made, I assume this is the same for the PS4, The only issue would be the latency, as the data would go to the PS4, then back through the internet to the Vita.
