Without the RNG, it would be an obviously insultingly easy task - with rng that players can't control... even completely skill-less an terrible players can pretend they "deserve" something more than someone else that doesn't have it.

This is not a test of skill... it is really an experiment on self delusion.
Weren't you just posting about how people saying getting their ATMA makes them superior are wrong? How do you shift from that from insinuating you're superior because you've seen past the veneer to the *real* truth? Honestly, I know it's luck, I didn't mind, I liked it. Part of that is not having abysmal luck. If you have totally abysmal luck you'll tend to not enjoy luck based games. Though all this crap about it being skill-less and no one who gets it really deserves it, it's just sour grapes. This style of content has been around a long time, posting some random wikipedia article like you've cracked the code is ridiculous. I understand you're upset but you're probably traveling beyond how bitter you should be about this grind. Granted it's only natural you'd get more bitter if you're taking as much troll bait on this forum as you were earlier today.

You cannot create a hypothetical 12 hour+ skill based grind, you know you can't. Having things be luck based is just a common tool in making something be scarce. I think it's preferable to a straight treadmill and agree there probably should have been some drop rate adjustment code to stop players from having 700 fates without a drop, but this unfocused belly aching about RNG in general is just silly.
