My favorite part of the whole Atma debacle is how there has been precisely zero response from any devs or community reps indicating that any of the complaints are being heard or any changes to the system are being considered. Meanwhile, the single thread about Leviathan mirror drop rates screwing WHMs and PLDs gets a speedy response from Yoshida himself.

To them it's probably a matter of "Sorry we put RNG in your MMO..." However, Fates were not the place for it, that much I will agree on. The drop rate could use a bit of an increase as well.

That's because the mirror drops give an advantage to job classes that only use two-handed weapons in terms of the final upgrade. To upgrade the weapon/shield takes two mirrors rather than one. Atma is fair across the board because it's truly random, therefore giving an advantage to no one.

The logic in that really isn't that difficult to grasp.

Poor phrasing on my part, there. I didn't mean to imply that it was somehow a lesser issue as it most certainly isn't and I'm glad to see that steps are being taken to correct it. My issue is that they chose to respond to those complaints damn near immediately, but after several weeks and thousands of posts between the the Japanese and Western communities all complaining about the same thing, there hasn't been a single word spoken by the dev team to address people's concerns. At this point, I'd even be happy with a canned "Working as intended, deal with it."

They haven't said anything because there isn't anything wrong currently. The system is fine, get over it. And if you can't get over it, get good, or get gone. No one will miss you leaving over this because you couldn't get good. This has helped to weed out who's good and who's just a bad.

Wat. You do realize that it shows no indication of whom is good, or bad. Just because someone got luckier than another with the RNG does not make them a superior, or 'good' player...

Yeah, couldn't agree more. I agreed with their very first sentence for the most part. No system is perfect. After that my brain began to hurt.
