In the meantime, rental is fine. However, if in the future, we don't have summonable Chocobos, it will definitely be a reminder of how archaic SE still is. Set in their ways.

It's hard being the voice of reason on a forum with so many old-souls who don't know any better and can't imagine anything better than what they've been fed by SE through FFXI, but there really is a problem with SE if they reproduce the same mount-system they had in FFXI.

Eor example, in FFXI, even the mounts you owned could only be summoned on a cooldown and for a limited time. It's like, why? SE thinks they understand the art of seduction but they don't come across as mysterious by withholding so much, they just come across as stingy and limiting.

This is all on the proviso that they do indeed reproduce the same mount system from FFXI which im sure they wont. (so no offence SE if you've changed).
You are just weird man.
