    Rentals were a bit of a pain, as if you didn't take full advantage by constantly moving the entire time you had available you wouldn't make it to your destination! In XI it was Home town to Jueno! Well almost, you usually timed out somewhere in Rolanberry Fields.

    If I have the option to raise my own chocobo to get around this time limit of a rental chocobo, I'm okay with that. But the costs on replenishing your whistle was ridiculous!

    Job specific mount may mean Dragoon/Chocobo Knight or something... though that seems more like a class.

    I hadnt considered having a mount other than a chocobo. But i would like to see customization options for chocobos. (color, saddle, armor?)

    I’ve come to help settle some of your speculations! The chocobos that will be implemented in 1.19 will indeed be rental chocobos that you can control yourself, but this is just the first step with our feathery friends. Bayohne did drop some hints here about things we might be seeing in the future, though....

    Then tell me what kept the devs from implementing them from release, since they always said "we just don't want to implement chocobos in a bland way, it's gonna be special blah blah blah".

    Because they were probably broken and unusable back then. I never expected any more than this for 1.19.

    Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them.     Oh yeah, and you know it beacause you're Yoshida BFF or what? How can a Chocobo rental system be broken? They clearely stated they didn't implement Chocobos right away because they wanted it to be special (can't remember if it was the old or the current team, anyway if they were working on the "special" part I find it hard to belive there wasn't anything ready for a rental system).
