Huge lag after maint (the one for server stability improvement <.<)

Well hi,

i just got into the game after the maint and im having huge problems with lag. All my actions (trying to get my mining map) take 5-10 seconds before they happen and i see the ret dot of death every few minutes...

Connection on the character site shows excellent, but well it doesnt feel that way...

Same here... massive lag spikes about 10 90,000 errors... takes 10 - 60 seconds to execute an action (like talk to a NPC)

Same. I didnt even realize maintenance had been done when I logged on early this morning on my ps4.(I thought maintenance was gonna be sometime tonight >.<) But regardless...if this was suppose to be a sever maintenance and the end was result was this...then this month might be the only month I sub to this game.

What maintenance are you talking about OP? The stability improvement one for NA servers has not been done yet and still another 12 hours away.

I seem to have fallen victim to the same maintenance ( for server stability ) early this morning on the NA realms ( I'm on Faerie)and i have been disconnected 5 or 6 times today in and out of dungeons. There have been occasional lag spikes as well. I should point out that i have been playing for maybe 2 months now, have always had a perfect connection never laggy, never one disconnect at all until this morning just after maintenance. This is the only game to be causing me any trouble and no changes have been made on my end.

It just got worse for me. Not only having extremely lag spikes, now i get kicked off the server (very nice during a high cost synth). I can see ppl with red dots in all places... i really wonder that only a hand full of ppl complain about it here?

Well for today i give up and go sleep. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow (but i kinda doubt it)

These kind of issues seem to always be effecting some but not all people. My game has only recently gotten back to normal after weeks of extreme lag and frequent disconnects from server, when at that time there were other people saying things are fine. It's a merry-go-round or game of musical chairs and someone will always be the unlucky one.

No problems in the regular world here... farted around for a couple hours tonight while tooling around the house (MNK from 42 to 43 via FATE's around Dragonhead). Wonder if it isn't regional issues in-route cropping up (for those experiencing issues not bound to instanced content)? Maybe we can see a pattern form if you guys post details about your connection and such:

Was Typically routed to Raleigh and Charlotte early on, then going up towards DC/VA, but have a new route now taking me towards Charleston, up around Charlotte, and then through Cary, NC. This may be due to some new fiber that is getting pulled through NC (Gbit is expanding into several NC markets this year). Think I read somewhere that Charleston, SC is slated for new speeds soon as well. They've been working on issues with our gateways for quite sometime now. This is about the 8th time my initial hops have changed since Beta4.

Current routing partner between TWC/RR and Ormuco (SE's ISP) is Cogentco (have been put on TATA and Level3 a few times in the past, but they keep bringing me back to Cogent).
