Hello all fellows FF14 lovers

I just bought the game today for ps4. I read alot of the posts here and still have question about stuff... So yeah, after a long time installing the game and all, i finally was able to play. Made it to level 7 before work... But how does the free 30 days with my copy of FF14? I played to level 7 WITHOUT having to enter any registration code or anything. I couldn't find any infos on the SE website so i just tryed to play the game and it worked with a charm. I'm also curious how can you actually make friends on this game since there seems to be no way to communicate unless you have a laptop with skype or such...

If anyone could point me out where exactly how i can voice chat AND where do i register my code for the free 30 days of online gaming (not that it seemed to matter LOL).

Hi and welcome.

Quick access to chat either press touch pad to cycle on UI element, the 1st one will be the chat. Or use the mouse cursor with the touch pad and tap on the chat. When cursor in the chat press Triangle and you will have virtual keyboard

But really having a keyboard will be a lot easier, USB wireless keyboards work fine.

I believe the OP asked about voice chat though The game does not support the voice chat so you'd need to use either some 3rd party PC chat tool (like team speak) ot you can also use the PS4's / Vita's Group chat however that would be limited to PS4 players only. In regards of the 30 days - it's added automatically to your account once you activate the game (otherwise you'd unable to play at all). I'm assuming you must have purchased it through the PSN. Is that right? Purchase of the PS4 (and PS3) versions is tracked through the PlayStation Network, which then coordinates that info with Square Enix when you link your purchase to an SE account. If you purchase a copy from anywhere other than the PSN Store, you get a registration code which you then enter at the PSN store so that it knows about your purchase. However, if you bought it from the PSN Store directly, then it already knows about that purchase and doesn't need a code.

Communication within the game tends to be text rather than voice. Get a keyboard for your PS4 if you don't have one yet. They're cheap and far easier to type on than the on-screen keyboard feature you can use with the controller.
