Tilde key (~) next to the 1 key can't be used for keybinding on PS4.

I am not sure if it's my keyboard or if Square Enix blocked the key from being used with the PS4 version, but when attempting to bind something to the key the game will tell me "this key cannot be used". I can't even type the symbol in chat.

Is it just my keyboard or has the key been blocked from use?
If it's just me, can someone suggest me a keyboard on which the tilde key works?

There seems to be the issue with the Tilda (~ or ¬) key in general on PS4 version of the game - it's also affecting the functionality of switching to the Japanese text input amongst others.

So it's not just my keyboard! Good to know.

I just hope they enable the functionality of that key later on. That key is very important to me as I tend to put aoe spells on that key in every game.

any updates on this issue? seems like a reoccurring issue that dated back to the ps3 version of this game. we need our tilde!

I need my ~ key so bad. i use it for my auto run and i only ever use auto run in mmos. So far i tried to move it to another key but most of the time i find myself ether not moving out of aoes or moving the wrong way. its hard to unlearn a Key that ive had the same function on for over7 years. plz help us out square!

not just the key on the keyboard, my mouses extra buttons are unmappable also. Pain in the ass, had to change my play style completely because of it :P

Well how exactly you'd expect those to work on PS4 without specialized (Windows) drivers?? It's not a problem of the game. Unless you have mouse with hard coded (not soft / driver driven) buttons such mouse will never work on PS4 or PS3.

Do you even know what you're talking about??! I purely meant that it would be extremely easy for Sony to configure the PS4 to recognise the external input. Wasn't moaning at Squeenix

Yes I do - do you? Do you really expect Sony to support hundres of different gaming mice out there with differnet drivers and so on?
