i am now a level 30 white mage, when i go to action and trains > additional, it has arcanist highlighted. does this mean my subclass is arcanist, because i want my subclass to be conjurer, also is there a way to fix this? or does it simply mean that those are just available to me and i didnt choose anything wrong. also if i did choose the wrong thing is there a way to reset it?

There are no subclasses. The highlighted classes are the classes you have and can use cross-class skills from.
For white mage the only classes available for cross-class skills are arcanist and thaumaturge.
The job is basically an add-on to a class. White mage is an extension of conjurer so you will always have all of the conjurer skills.

White Mage is Conjurer with extra abilities. The additional abilities are cross-class, and White Mage is limited to those from Thaumaturge and Arcanist where Conjurer could draw from most of the other disciplines also.

Nothing's wrong you still have access to all your conjuring abilities as WHM as it is a specialisation of that class.

Arcanist and Thaum are the two classes for your cross class skills. You can't change this as it is the same for every WHM ^^
You may want to look up some guides for which of their skills are more desirable for a WHM to use :3

thanks for the replies, but thaumaturge is grayed out, is that because i never used that class and will need to level it up to gain access to some abilities?

Yes. Ideally you would eventually get thaumaturge to level 26 for swiftcast.
