    I would suggest first just getting a video card and power supply.

    If you do not intend to change your monitor, I would look to a NVIDIA GTX 460 or Radeon 6790 which can be had for ~$140-150.
    The next step up would be either a NVIDIA GTX 560 or Radeon 6870 ~$180.

    Sure, the GTX 560 Ti is a great card, but if money is a concern, you can get by with less.
    The GTX 460 (or equivalent) is actually in the Recommended System Specifications running a screen resolution of 720p.

    Motherboard might not need an update... I would check and see if your computer could support a better processor. Also a video card would be the easiest and most effective update.

    I bought a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE but I cannot fit it into the slot at all. I have an http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...t=4299473#N356 and it says it supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards so I don't understand why I cant install it.

    I wish they would release FFXIV on the PS3 already then I wouldn't have this problem.

    Is the case too small? With the way video card sizes are going a mid-tower, especially a pre-built one could be tough to squeeze a powerful card into.

    I managed to fit it in but what do I do with the 6-pin power connectors? I've never installed a graphics card like this before.

    As has been adviced, to upgrade your video card, you also need to upgrade your power supply, as it is does not have the amps to drive any but the lowest of entrylevel graphics cards, and even that is borderline.

    Any modern PSU you get that can run the card, should have two PCIe 6 (or 6+2) power plugs specificially for graphics cards.

    You will want to get a decent quality one of 400W or better.

    Yes, that is more than enough to drive the graphics card you picked out, and is a good quality unit.
