    Recurring Sub concern

    I bought the game using a credit card and then applied for a recurring sub using my debit card. I registered my debit the very day I started playing and I didn't receive any error message whatsoever so I thought there's nothing to worry about, then I received an automated mail:

    so I went to Mog Station as instructed then Square Enix Account Settings>>Account Information>>List Subscriptions
    It doesn't list specifically the payment method details whichever I click, unless I choose update I always end up back here:

    just to be sure I updated the details again but,

    learning about some payment method errors while searching the forums earlier, is there something else I need to check? I seriously hate getting cut off from playing because suddenly the system doesn't accept my card (which happened to me before and I don't want to experience again)

    Well, when you sign up your card, SE 'tests' it, by making a small ($1) 'authorization fee' which after a week is refunded back to you by your card issuer. Hence if the authorization fee doesn't go through right away, SE knows your card will be invalid and hence the Mogstation would have informed you of it immediately (as a lot of players have found out the hard way).

    Really, as long as your debit card account has enough funds to cover your FFXIV fees on the billing date (SE will email you five days before the date the card is billed, thus giving you time to ensure you have the funds to pay it), you should have nothing to worry about (I pay through a Visa debit card myself for my FFXIV fees so I have a little experience in it).

    Those letters are just to let you know that the payment date is coming up, I always get them a few days before being charged. The sentence is just letting you know that your account gets suspended if you have insufficient funds. The screenshot you posted lists that you are paying with a Credit/Debit card so you are probably fine.

    Instead of making a new thread i decided to post on this as i have recurring sub concerns.

    I used my credit card to pay for a one months sub and now SE wants to suck on my wallet every month. My question is how do i turn this off? I tried to SE Account Settings/Register or Update payment methods and from there tried to unregister. It says i have no credit cards registered but in my Account Status like OP's screenshot it says my payment method is Credit/Debit card recurring. Is this how it's supposed to be? Especially when i'm probably going to play other games while waiting for heavensward to come out i don't want to waste money on a game i'm not going to play.

    Edit: i know this thread was made last year but i'm still hoping to receive some sort of reply or help. anything's appreciated. thanks in advance.

    As far as the suspension thing, it only suspends service until you update and re-apply payment. Not much to worry about, really.

    There's a "Cancel Subscription" button at the bottom of the "Your Account" page of Mog Station.
