Whats a Tank Job in PVP

Im just a little unsure what my set 1 is in PVP as a Tank is, I get kill healer but am i post to Pocket protect my healer, I don't have the aggro move to pull the team off my healer.

I am by no means a great PvPer (I got really discouraged back before matchmaking was added because I didn't really know any PvPers to level with). As far as I understand it, tanks are kings of the CC (crowd control) -- they can annoy the other team by locking someone down, or protect their own in a similar way. Their damage, as well, is nothing to laugh at. Tanks will often be on-par with dps, largely because tanks don't get focused since they are hard to kill. They are a very important part of PvP, but are most useful when used alongside some sort of coordinated strategy.

I get what you mean, but PVP is great; it is much better now that you see less people with no gear in 30's. I would like more maps, Wolf's Den is getting a bit old. Its nice playing with those on same level and skill. While PVP is a 1-life 1-time battle experience, I wish it was like PVE in terms of ranking up, finding and getting gear, and earning XP. While I respect the PVPer's who have full i90morale gear set. IT is super hard to get 10 matches in a day when Que-times are only between certain hours.

I just apply dots and stuns but those casters burn all their TP and just run from me while If i burn my TP i and Up the crake, #SOL. I really don't know what is PVP BIS for PLD.

tank pvp is and always will be (at serious pvp) a key part of success or fail. depending on what job you play, its either dps or control.

the war dishes out some serious dmg as long as he can play his class and knows what he does. the good pld controls the entire fight (not wasting gcds on bla targets; throwing out a blind perfectly, stuns a called target, covering the healer or focused dps).

the role of tanks at pvp is matchmaking. of course there are dds, outshining a match here and then. but a tank at premade or structured pvp, was/is a key part of victory.

Didn't pvp much but i used to either protect my healer or harass theirs.
