    New grief tactic going around

It goes a little something like this:

    Duty Starts

Guy with "broken" gear: Guys, my gear is broken. Can you vote kick me out so I can fix it? I'll be right back!

    Group: Sure, but hurry up.

    Guy with "broken" gear: Ok!

Guy with "broken" gear gets kicked out, but never comes back. Instead, he/she puts in reports of being kicked for "bad gear", sticking a harassment charge or worse on everyone within the group who voted yes.

Now, it probably goes without saying, but it's total @#$%ing BS that this is allowed to happen. A friend AND a FC member got hit with it earlier, and there's nothing they can do about it other than have a permanent mark against their accounts forever.

So a word of warning to anyone who gets a person like this in a group: Do NOT kick them if they have "broken" gear if they ask. While some cases might be legit, it's just not worth the risk.

I don't see how they would've had that held against them, the GMs are supposed to investigate that stuff and would have access to the chatlogs to see that is clearly not the case.

It's simple really, if they "forgot" to repair, they can just eat the 30 minutes wait.

    I don't believe it.

The purpose of griefing is to cause trouble for someone, sure, but no one griefs if they don't see the result of their griefing. Blocking a doorway is griefing. Killing all the mobs in an area people are hunting it griefing. The commonality being the griefer can watch people get upset and tickle his pickle.

Since your story doesn't present a way for the griefer to get tickled, I don't buy it.

You're not telling the full story.

Some people really do just do things that they know will inconvenience others with no intention of ever experiencing that inconvenience directly, simply because they can. Some people are satisfied with the mere knowledge that their actions will frustrate others.

When GM's investigate vote kick abuse, the question the person that got kicked, and the people that kicked them, if the people didn't tell the GM he asked to be kicked, they should have, GM's can pull chat logs and see all that was said, and then punish the person for trying to get others in trouble for it.

It's hard to believe when GMs have access to chat logs and would see this straight away.

Yeah, as everyone else has already noted, this story doesn't really add up.

GMs would have checked all the chat logs, no way would anyone who voted yes have been given any sort of mark on their account for this if it is true.
