Atma - Horribad Luck or am I doing something wrong?

I have done....mmm...I'm going to conservatively estimate something like 130 FATEs in Central Thanalan. I am the type of person that likes to go in an order that I set, so I don't really want to zone skip to get these things. I have talked to whats-his-face and gotten the completed journal log that lists the Atmas by zone, and I have been participating in FATEs with either my Zenith Relic'd MNK, or my Zenith Relic'd PLD with always at least the Curtana Zenith equipped.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just horrible luck? I've spent roughly 12 hours on and off of sitting in the zone waiting for DR (which isn't often since I queue on tank) or riding the exercise bike while I FATE grind and listen to music.

I'm not complaining, really, just kind of wanting to confirm that I am not doing something colossally stupid that is prevent the pieces from dropping.

Top Secret: SE monitored forum threads for 2 months in preparation for 2.2.

The collective massive amounts of data on likes given and received on particular threads on wanting the grind back and gave different experiences to a mass of players based on the data.

To give the short of it, SE gave players who wanted the grind back and were vocal about it on the forums a lower percentage drop in FATEs.

I've done twice as many fates as TC and still haven't received any

your not doing anything wrong as it is complete RNG as is most content like gear for instance.
Maybe try doing 10 or so fates in one area then moving to the next. Some players got all atmas the first day, others in a few days, etc.
I figure my lack of luck has helped those players get their atmas,
