Disable splash screens and movie

Yes. Yes. I know the game has been rated by the ESRB. I know it was made by Square Enix. Now, can I please skip these stupid splash screens? I'm tired of waiting through them.

And while you're at it, can you let me disable the "End of an Era" video that pops up after X minutes of idle activity, or at least make it so I can click the mouse to dismiss it?

It's the default thing for games. File a complaint for every software developer then, 'if I play X times your game, don't run splash again.

But I do agree about turning video off. That vid lags my computer a LOT.

In regards of the video launch - simply enter the character selection screen and don't clik OK - it will stay there and video will not launch - I know - poor workaround but better then nothing and killing your resources / hard drive / PC / Playstation unnecessarilly ...

agree with this massively, we already know this game is made by SE, more importantly, unlike most devs and games, this has multi user groups in raids, WOW has an option to let you go from launcher, which already has your details saved all the way to your character selection on your main server that you play on.
this is awesome if you ever DC and need to log quickly back in when in the middle of a fight, less likely to wipe, SE needs to think about the needs of a player and not this shit.

and the standard thing for games nowadays is to give you an option to disable starting splash screens. i don't need to be told the esrb rating of the game every time XD, if anything, just give square enix and go, unless you're loading stuff then, but SSD users be done instantly.

You can't already click the mouse to dismiss it? I use a controller rather than a mouse, but know it can easily be dismissed with the controller.

And it only comes up if you idle on that window that has "Start" "Select Data Center" "Watch Movie" and another option or two (I forget what). From either the step before, at the login screen, or the step after, at the character select screen, it won't. I usually leave mine at the character select screen when I'm going to be away from the platform for a while, and only leave it idling on that Start screen when I want to see that End of an Era video.
