PS4 complaint- would like a forum advisor's attention

I know this might sound incredibly silly. But with the PS4 there are alot of perks to take advantage of.

One easy perk is the share function that is linked into your user's social media platforms like facebook, which is an awesome perk.

Anyways, the share function DOES NOT WORK WITH THIS GAME!!!

Here's the scenario:
Myself and My wife both play FFXIV. She has a character, and I have a character, both on the Lamia server. AWESOME right?

Ok the problem is, the game is registered to her user name, and to her user ID....

Meaning, we can only play the game on the PS4 while logged in as HER user name.... soooo if I wanted to share my most recent, EPIC kill, or any nonsense.... I would technically be sharing it on HER social media.... which doesn't really make much sense does it??

What needs to happen is, the game be accessible from ALL USERS on the same CONSOLE!! We own the PS4, its the same unit, the game was purchased and digitally downloaded the works..... There is absolutely NO reason why I can not use my PS4 user id, log into my ps4.... open up FFXIV and use our SE user id/password and play while logged in on a different PS4 user account..... hence being able to share content with my social media platform....

The way it stands is kinda silly..... also, not being able to change your user content in the log in screen is silly too. What if a friend of mine was hanging out at my house and wanted to log in from my computer/ps4.... you cant... altogether the way the system is set up is for your account to be registered exclusively on one device, under one user.... which is extremely restrictive from travel, and players that share the same device...

You can do that. In fact it's what you're supposed to be doing. The problem in your setup is that you've been playing on your wife's account. You should have your own SE account with your own characters and have that account linked to your own PSN account.

I think you're kinda missing the point here - each developer for PS4 (and PS3 and Vita as well) have right to decide if the particular game title is "shareable" (read accesible and playable) by other accounts on the same device or not. There are other games which works exactly the same way on the playstation platform so your complain is pretty moot here. If both you and your wife want to play on the same playstation you both need to purchase and activate the game on your own account and pay your own monthly sub - that's how it is set by SE and it's clearly stated by them so it's not gonna change. In regards of your point about friends wanting to login and play on your PS4 if they visit (or travelling in general) - they can do that as well as long as they have the game activated on their own PSN account.

BTW - it's exactly the same on PC as well - you need to have the game purchased for each separate SE service account you want to play with. This is pretty much standard for any MMO out there.

From the Square Enix Account terms of use:

(g) You agree that your Square Enix Account is non-transferable and, therefore, may not be transferred to or used by anyone other than you.

From the FFXIV user agreement:

3.1 Sharing Account Information. You may not share your account or login information (such as your Square Enix ID and password) with anyone except your legal guardian, your minor child, or Square Enix.

You are not your wife. I wouldn't count on them adding official support for breaking their own agreement.
