Is 2.25 really coming out this week or is this just like prelim maintenence to get things ready for 2.25. It says the maintenence is to accompany the 2.25 release but there's been no news of the update actually coming yet and nothing really mentioned as to what's coming in the update except the things that were sayed back before 2.2.
Here it is : http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...d23556b9f4ab0a

- FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn

Yea that's what I'm talking about. The way it's worded makes it seem to me like it might be a preliminary maintenence to get ready to roll out patch 2.5 it doesn't say anything about the patch being done at that time or is there any post of an update being applied. I don't know maybe I'm missreading it but seems abiguous the way it's worded and lack of any other info about 2.25. Would think if this was the patch that we would of heard or seen more by now given it's only a day away.

Its still a minor patch, i doubt we'll get more notice before we get it. On the other hand, the patch notes might be a bit longer than usual.
They never really mention "to accompany patch" unless they are actually dropping the patch. well we shall see tomorrow :P.Yea that's what I'm talking about. Sigh. Why do people dig into specific words too much and ended up thinking too much? It is for patch 2.25.
Japanese lodestone news:
http://jp.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...c6b206b0a0289d
I'm not the most proficient in Japanese but the first sentence:
下記日時におきまして、パッチ2.25公開に伴う全ワールドのメンテナンス作業を実施いたします。
Clearly stats that: "In the below date and time, in association with the release of patch 2.25, (we) will commence with all world maintenance".
How the word "accompany" appear in the English translation is due to the word "伴う" in "パッチ2.25公開に伴う" where "伴う" by itself can mean "accompany".

Maintenance and Patch are technically two different things, and the maintenance accompanies the patch...
Pretty sure all previous patches have had the same kind of wording...

It's okay if you'd like to argue along those terms, but what I've translated from the JP letter was correct.

Today's Live Letter from Yoshida confirmed that it will be a Patch 2.25.
