So I have been having a very bad day so far. I finally got my official version for the PS4 after playing the Early Access for the past few days and managed to get a lot of game time in. Unfortunately I was still waiting for my official Collectors edition to arrive from Amazon. It came in today and I followed the appropriate steps to redeem code under the correct PSN account on my PS4. I got to the point where it asks me to register my product with my PSN account after launching the game. However it did not prompt me that I had to merge my Early Access Service with the official game service. Now I am stuck with two service accounts, one with my character that ive been playing which has the pre-order bonus items, and another which is labeled as a second service with my collectors edition bonus. During Prompt of the account creation or account service setup it did not say anything that I had to merge these two. It clearly stated that if transfering from PS3 or PC I should not "check this box". Now I know that at this point is was somewhat my fault. However I was not informed about it. So now I tried to fix this on my own by going to the Mog Station and opening a ticket, which it will take days or weeks for them to get back for me, live chat support is offline and so is Phone support. So i tried an alternative and tried to fill up the form to merge both service accounts. But what do you know, the Platform selection box does not have the PS4 option. Now I am here trying to get some help if anyone has a solution or if the so called good folk at Square can help me. The worst part is that this merge can take up to two weeks...seriously...So I cannot play my current character and that two weeks will be taken out of my game time card. I am trying to be patient and try not to bash my PS4 or Square themselves. I had a great time with the game, but this issue killed my experience for me since I had a Free Company that I had plans with the entire week and some of the work I put into is for nothing. Yes I could make a new character but I already put the work into my character and IDC too much about the preorder items like the moogle hat and Doll too much, but I think that this should have been implemented in the prompts and account management before the PS4 release. And I am guessing there is no way to return the game after opening and using the code, so I am stuck.
