Elasia's Mass Manufacturing 3 Star HQ Macros

Let me start off with what this is not. This is not a min max rotation chain. These are a set macros that allow for crafting of 3 star HQ without really even thinking about it. This is for the lazy crafter that wants to produce high volume.

If you are into 1 offs and super specialty then i suggest looking at ImDingDing's post and using that or some mashup in between.

I use max control/cp along with 391 crafting when executing this chain and have produced well over 130-140 hq 3 star items using it and have successfully pillaged some 60m net gil off the leviathan server to date since patch.

The total amount of macros you click will be up to 5, 2 build up stages, 1 decision stage were you pick the next macro to use based on how much cp you have and how many stacks of cz you have left to execute (8cp per stack), a 2nd decsion stage which is the old great strides/poor defender and the last being a finisher.

I wont go into much more detail other than this and others can do full calculations etc if they want, i just wing it all myself as that is easy to do and full probability calc not really needed.

Nice post, I was thinking about how do you manage to macro ToT when I read your reply in my post. Very good idea.

i couldn't care less about the macro, my question is how in the world do you get people to buy so much 3 star gear!? lol. combined on our server, id say maybe 60 total pieces, more or less, have sold at all (on MB), from any person crafting it. individually, i sell a piece once every 2-3 days it seems. granted i only have a few pieces up but its not worth making much of it if its not very in demand. if you sold 130 pieces and made 60 mil, thats about 500k per piece, which is about what we sell our stuff for on exodus. its unbelievable that you have sold that many pieces of 3 star already. literally, i don't believe it lol. the only people that really want it is coil progression groups, so I'm guessing leviathan must be full of hardcore raiders. I've said it before, but i kind of wish the new gear was made ilvl95, to give people an incentive to buy it and just lure people with that extra 5 number, because the general consensus i hear from people is "its not worth the gil, ill just use myth/coil gear". ha, id probably make more money selling materia. i think it will be more in demand when the prices lower a bit, because honestly, i wouldn't buy this stuff either. 500k plus all the materias to pentameld; easy mil-2 million right there, for gear that people will need less and less of as they continue to farm soldiery. why do you think people buy it so much on your server?

More then 60 pieces have sold on our server, I know cause I am on this server and sold around 150-200 finished pieces. I could only assume Elric is around the 70 mark as the next top. To compare numbers I made about 30 mil or so (Profit not total revenue). Kinda on low end based on what I crafted but I also don't craft any of my pre-3star mats like darksteel nuggets and just buy it to save time.

yeah, I said sold via market board. an average of 5-7 pieces per each gear have sold, if that. some pieces haven't even sold once. I'm sure more has been sold privately, I was assuming for some reason that thats what the OP meant, 60 mil profit from MB.

Elesia what are your Control and CP? I know you told the are maxed, but was wondering how you melded the off-hand.

    Thank you.

EDIT: One more question, if you don't mind: what is usually your starting quality when using these macros?

I, myself, use a similar rotation but use ToTs in order to substitute Hasty Touch with Basic Touch (1 ToT => 1 Basic Touch instead of Hasy Touch) for a guaranteed stack of IQ.

Actually most of that was off the MB, our server has sold at least 300-350 pieces off of there alone if not more, some pieces like healer robes have scrolled right off the screen so cant add it up proper, probly around 40-50 of those alone since they sell like hotcakes

The thing is, i took control of the 3 star eco early on and forced it and the material market into an extraction position to get the eco moving on them and into peoples hands to trigger a chain reaction in several other sub markets (people need materia for this stuff right? ) This part is more market theory than crafting though, also the server has a healthy population to demand product, others see the products and then want it themselves etc. Popularity can be a huge factor, i also sell lots of odd items like furniture, summoning bells, wavesoul founts, etc etc as well as tidal bardings... cant keep those in stock they fly off the shelf, thing about bardings and furniture, spring dress etc... you dont even need hq, 10s craft to make 50-150k a pop? not a bad deal

Also for reference i've pushed finished 3 star hq into the 200-400k range on head/feet/hands/belts and 300-500k range on body/leg items with rapid undercutting... if anyone competed with me i just dropped the price by 25k per undercut unless they were not at war with me and stayed on a matched price level, although sometimes i'd look to shift the price down anyway just to make more product move faster and stir the eco up, as far as mb sales, Monday-Wednesday are the strongest days people buy

I usually run 1000-2000 just depending on what sub materials i got on hand and product knowledge, (i know i can push nq cashmere healing robes fast so if i got a ton of leftover non hq subs i'll take one of these from 0 for instance and gamble, i dont lose any money since even the nq sells for more than market materials) More or less to sum it up my starting quality really depends on the item itself and product knowledge of what moves the fastest and if vanity item etc as well.

    My offhand runs Control +4 x2, Control +3, CP +3, Craft +3

Thanks Elasia, as compared to mine (Control+4, Control+3, Craft+5, Control+2) it would seem quite convenient to add a CP+3 for using your macros (in case of 3 ToT the 3 CP would make the difference between Basic and Standard Touch).

    Thanks again =)

This stuff is selling because you don't need to cater to 100% of the population. Considering "only" 350 of these items have sold, many are for vanity. Many are just people with some extra gil. It isn't like things are being priced for what EVERYONE can afford. Just some people.

You would have made a lot more gil if you did sensible undercuts.
