    Odd Window Behaviour

    Hey all!

    I've got a odd little issue. I'm running FFXIV on my laptop and it works great in fullscreen mode and even in window mode it's smooth. But there is a positioning problem when in window mode. There is a black bar on the right hand side of the game. It acts as if it's not there though when clicking on items. I've showed this here by clicking on the "Menu" button and the "Emotes" menu comes up.

    Here's a pic;

    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Did you try a different resolution?

    I did. That was my first thought. But they all do it except when I go full screen.

    I've had that same issue in the past on my HDTV, and it tends to be a centering issue, though only when I was using fullscreen. If I auto-adjusted the screen it'll correct itself in the game, but then back on my desktop the screen will be off-center the opposite direction. It was an odd occurrence, but I don't recall exactly how I fixed it, other than running games in Windowed~Fullscreen if they had it, or forcing my resolution through .ini editing.

    Try a different resolution, or better yet use this borderless window script and see if that helps any.

    Tried to script and it didn't help the issue. It's just my luck that I get some sort of somewhat rare problem lol.

    Maybe you should add your specs(especially GPU and driver version).

    Sure;

    Intel Core i5 - 2410M @2.30ghz
    DDR3 = 8gb
    Dual Grahpics
    Intel HD & AMD Radeon HD 6650M dedicated

    FFXIV is set to use just the Radeon

    There always seems to be problems with ALL systems that have intel IGP. Try disabling aero or the IGP in bios and use the AMD's HDMI.

    Did you try to disable aero? (aero uses the IGP by default which can cause problems)
