After looking over the requests and feedback, the graphics team has decided that when adding metallic equipment in the future, even if dyes are used, the metallic quality will be maintained and not appear to be painted over. They also mentioned that they will be looking into doing this for existing equipment as well, but they would like to prioritize new equipment.

This has been incredibly frustrating for me as well. There are many 'kinda close' colors, but no clear matches for most of the unique and holiday gear. Even soot black isn't as dark of a black used in many pieces. I really hope SE will consider going back to look at past equipment and add dyes that better match and compliment those pieces so we can create more composed glamours.

Yeah, the Snow White and Soot Black are the most frustrating ones for me. So, I just completely glamoured over all of my Myth/Soldiery gear with other pieces.
