    This is a PSN issue, if you only have one PSN account on your console it will not distinguish the two versions of the game from one another, and is using only the one PSN account to allow you to contact SE's servers. If you want more than 1 FFXIV account on your PS3 you will need to setup a second profile and PSN account on your PS3.

    This is why, when MAG was a big deal, I had three separate PSN accounts so I could play all three factions.
