ok, clearly, you cannot make sense of analogies. This had nothing to do with health but, rather, the line of thinking that "because it hasn't happened to me, it's never going to happen." Fallacious reasoning to be sure. Also, I'm not sure you understand the meaning of the phrase "sky is falling" because I cannot make sense of its application here. The reason people believe this is because it HAS already happened, and not just in XIV but it's pretty notorious within WoW.
In fact in XIV there were reports of compromised accounts that didn't have tokens attached to them, having a token placed on them by whoever stole it, making it even harder for the victim to regain their account.

And no spyware on Mac?... it's cute that you still believe that Apple Propaganda.

While most FFXIV accounts are less useful to those who would try to steal them than a lot of MMO accounts may have been in the past (mostly because every valuable piece of armor/ weaponry that you have is account bound if you've ever used it), people do still try to steal accounts. There's gil at the very least, and the possibility of selling the account.

I'm not very worried about security personally. Statistically nothing is likely to happen to me (or any one user in particular), but some accounts will surely be compromised and have been already. In any case, the free teleport to Mor Dhona (or wherever you like) is more than enough reason to tack on 15 seconds to my login times.
