Seems like a good explanation and it seems like from my point of view that the "pros of a single character" is better than the opponent.

However, are a single character able to have all the different jobs, will there be enough quests to level all of the classes, and do the attribute points matter, (i.ex., if you have all classes on one character, how will you put your attributes.)?

As for the multiple characters, I think that I can have characters just for inventoryspace, and send items to them like a bank. I think that would be a smart idea.

You get an experience bonus (known as the "Armoury Bonus") of up to 50% when leveling another class. In order to get this bonus you must have a class that is higher level than the one you are leveling. If you have gladiator at level 30 and begin leveling conjurer to unlock paladin, you'll get bonus experience so long as your conjurer is a lower level than your gladiator. This bonus applies to all monster kills and levequests, and stacks with your rested bonus of 50%. In case you are unaware, rested experience is built by hanging out, in towns and camps. You'll see a small crescent moon on your experience bar when resting. You can also continue to earn rested experience while logged out. Leveling an alternate class with 100% or more bonus experience is pretty quick, and a benefit you won't be taking full advantage of leveling an alt.

It's also easier to gear your other classes than it is another character. Rolling greed and getting armor/weapons that aren't for your current class can actually be put to use.

It's a flat 50% as long as your current level is less than your highest level. There's no variation in percentage.

To be honest, I haven't paid enough attention as to whether it's a flat 50% or not when leveling. I do believe it says in the in game help that it's based on the difference in levels. Either way. It's awesome.

EDIT: I do actually recall seeing my bonus diminish as I closed the gap in levels on 2 of my classes. But I think it remained a flat 50% once I got a class to 50.

It has a fairly generous cap too. I swear I got like 15 levels before I managed to deplete it after taking a long break from the game.

In some of the beta phases, it was based on the level gap. But either in the final beta phase or on release (can't remember which), it was changed to 50% flat. I'd imagine because SE realized the other way would encourage people to do silly things like level to 50 without unlocking jobs or cross-class skills. But the help text wasn't updated to reflect the change. I keep forgetting to check whether it's been updated since.

Well that makes sense. It could have been in the beta, it all sort of blurs together for me after a while. But I do think the help still needs to be updated, if this is the case.
