Playable Moogles, and why I think it would actually work

I'd love to see a sort of "rebirth" system where you can change your race and such after doing something to unlock them (Like say padjal after doing a certain quest that mentions you not being padjal).

I mean, jeeze, you can change your appearance, you can change your class, you are a SPOILER ALERT: Warrior of the Light : END SPOILER ALERT.

So why not have the ability to change your race at some point in time? No need to rewrite the story, it could be some sort of like ability that you gain to acquire the "essence" of various races. Sort of like soulstones. You'd just have to go through like some sort of major quest to gain the ability and then a mini quest to change your race.

Fantasia already allows you to do so and will soon be available once more, tho we don't know how yet :/

I still think Playable Moogles would be fantastic, but if absolutely nothing else, what if they were limited to "Tradeskill-Jobs", and could freely port between cities? It would make them fantastic little Alt-characters, and would fill the void of being able to "play" as a Moogle, without it necessarily impacting the rest of the game. Maybe if they were really well-received, they could continue expanding their customization-options, until eventually becoming fully-playable?
