Let us use Odin's armor for glamour

I'm going to be blunt & say the system should be been designed to be at release & used the common mmo vanity style of seperate list.
(Refer DCU vanity system - not only does it let you change gear looks at will but it lets you change colour so even if everyone wears the same pieces they all look different.)

I gotta be honest, I know there are many ways to do a thing but in regards to the vanity system. The better choice would have been to go with a separate Equipment window that followed the same class/job/level rules as the original but simply overlapped the first in regards to appearance. In addition the prism system is just entirely too convoluted and I dare say unnecessary. If they wanted to really charge people for glamoring items they should have just gone with 1 item and let all the crafters make it. Having 40 or so different crystals means I need to sit down and craft/buy (goodluck buying just one) a single crystal for each specific glamor and it makes the entirety of the process an big pain in the rear.

100% this. It's obvious the prisms exist solely as a way to involve crafters and create a niche in the game economy, but convoluted is exactly the word I would use. It makes it way more complicated than it needs to be, especially when all grades of prism require the same materials to make anyways. If nothing else grades should be done away with and the only separation is by which crafting class. Preferably though, I would also highly favor an entirely separate equip window for vanities.

Good to hear, they could just redesign those items to be 4 separate pieces, there is only a handful of items which would need to be redesigned.

You could have it so players would have to trade the existing piece for the 4 pieces via the calamity salvager NPC.

Or just have the 4 piece armour classed as just body and have them overlay any hands legs and feet items.

yea u guys made the system very stupid. And specially with those items that include more pieces into same gear. Its impossible to makeany use of darklight tank armor for glamours. And ofc same with Odin armor
