Speaking of EXP rings, why isn't there any usable rings/earrings in FFXIV?

Better yet, why are there even limitations when it comes down to the jewelry our characters wear?

I've been wondering about that too, why provide all these slots if you can't fill them all with good gear.

They are looking into removing the slot cost limit so hopefully it will be gone, or at least increase as you rank up to allow you to wear higher tier gear

Makes the most sense, I'm just not a fan of equipping r50 stuff when I'm only rank 1...something that's always never made sense to me.

Maybe they should assign a slot cost for all gear so when you are R50 you have enough points to equip everything but if you are a lower rank you can only equip one or two pieces of high rank gear before you run out of points.
