(Keeping in mind they may remove the accessory limitation that has a lot of slots that will become available)
If we eventually have accessories or even armor that has charges to be used upon will during gameplay allow for them to be recharged by DoH. This could be separate than the durability and require a new type of item or be replenished when durability is, I guess that call is up to players and SE.

I think a system like this with the upcoming addition of the materia system would enhance the use for crafters even more.

Also depending on how over powered the item charge is, it could require rarer materials that need DoL to procure and sell on retainers.

I liked charges in in XI, but I felt that when some items lost all their charges they became useless and I thin this caused them to not be used unless it was the exp rings or the refill every 24 hour items.

This could open up a lot of choices especially if the slot cost of accessory is removed:
EXP bonus, enmity+/-, hp/mp +/-, acc/atk/eva +/-, movement speed, craft/gathering bonus, regen/refresh, teleports, AoE effects for party, stat debuffs on attack (endrain, enpoison, def down etc)
