Technically the original Onion Helm isn't attainable either for new players, unless they can track down an item code for it from the original 1.0 CE (which is increasingly harder to find, given the fact SE ordered retailers who still had stocks of it to return them to SE for disposal, even though the codes still work at this time). As long as it can't be dyeable to the actual colour of the 'proper' Onion Helm (thus allowing it to retain it's uniqueness) then I'm all for it.
