Actually, there are 6 named data centers. 1 for EU (servers actually located in Canada), 3 JP, and 2 US. You may have to search for these new servers amongst the different data centers as I don't know off the top of my head which they are in.

hi sadiie! what times do you usually log on? i'll be sure to keep a lookout. i'm usually on starting from 8pm EST and earlier on weekends. i'm also an archer who just turned bard, so i could help you along the way. our fc is a mix of newbie's also, but we also have higher levels/mmo vets that don't mind helping out our newcomers as well. it's a chill, casual, friendly, and helpful environment, so no worries about being new.

I'll be on today for a few hours in the afternoon. My play times are pretty scattered because I work retail, so no consistant work hours. So i'm on whenever I have the time. I'll keep an eye out for ya!

alright cool. i won't be on til later, but if you happen to see one of our FC members with the tag <<FFVI>>, say hello, and he/she can invite you in. or you can also click on their character to open up the info menu, and one of the options would be to look up our FC info. from there, you can submit an application, which i believe i would be able to grab even if you're not logged on later.

Uh, why should new players stick to new servers only? What logic is there in that? Because they're with other new players and they can learn the game together? Isn't because of the BS phobia of "Old players hate new players"(which isn't true).

If you are new to the game, Pay on whatever server you want to play on. Don't limit yourself to just playing a new server with new players. There are plenty of good people on other servers that are more then willing to play with and assist new players in learning.

Make you're own choice for server, don't limit yourself to a preconceived notion of where you should go.

I rather play on a old server like leviathan... More established players, more knowledgeable players ready to teach you a dungeon at the push of a macro, more high level players willing to spend all that GIL just to save a few minutes, etc...

Oh and who doesn't love looking at all the max'd out sexy characters that I can only hope to become when my character grows up.

duty finder is actually cross severs, so either way you can be partied with more established players who can lead you through a dun.

Felt the need to revive this Thread as new players are in dire need of a new server. Specially in the EU data center where you only have 8 worlds to choose from and all of them are extremly well populated, no plots for housing available, over priced markets, most people that want to play end game hardcore already have their statics so its very hard to join a static.

Im not going to talk about JP and NA data centers where you have some low pop worlds, but in the EU data center you dont have a low pop world at all.

So at least EU should get 1 new world with all the new players its getting.

I don't think this thread should have been revived. The information in it is way out of date. Anyone reading the first page will get a completely false idea of what it is like on Zodiark in October 2015.

We're supposed to be helping new players here, not leading them up the garden path by putting old threads that are no longer relevant right on the very first page.

Well its common sense to see the post date and skip right to the last post. At least thats what I always do

Are still the newest servers we got, even tough they are 1 and a half year old.

Just doing my best to get SE to open 1 new fresh world at least in Europe.
Plenty of friends that want to start FFXIV but feel overwhelmed by the age of the servers we have, they want something newer.

This is just not right. Most of the time people say hi at the start and not a word more. Most people who use duty finder for ex primals are there to learn aswell but seldom clear. (Not impossible but unlikely)

And in large scale duty finder dungeons (world of darkness and upcoming void ark ) it is a festering cesspool of trolls and the worst kind of people.
