Geeez no appreciation for the healer in bray hm 2/3 speed runs?
It's really hard to heal that massive pull at the start.
If you don't mitigate damage as if you're in t5, the tank will die just like that lol. It takes less than 3 secs if healers don't bring their a game lol.
Also that 2nd pull with all those illuminatis get scary as ppl will get randomly targeted for those medium hitting gonlin jumps lol!!
I laugh when i see a blm get hit 4x consecutively XD
But yes it's much better with 2 blm as a bard has no use if you have a good healer / caster dps.
Also how r schs on this speed run?

Elitist, when i look for blm+blm+war+whm to do a SR as fast as i can?

u dont have to ask Why?

    just ask why not?

myth runs in 5 to 6mins, and full runs in maybe 13-15mins. i love time attack runs ... thats why im looking for the "best" combination in my opinion.
Elitist? lol, never. I do, what i can do, to beat personal time attacks

What makes the Bard useless with a good healer or caster DPS?
To my understanding its exactly the other way araound.
You bring a bard to support the mage with foes, not the healer with mana song.
Even WHM Holy will profit from foe reqiuem quite noticably.

I only ran as SCH on those speedruns.
Could do as WHM, but when tanks pull that much not sure I would have time to cast Holy.
(could start in cleric stance until we reach the ramp, swiftcast holy , and remove cleric stance?)

Would like advice on WHM how they manage the pulls, just to change a bit from my SCH
On the topic fastest run I had was 2 BLMs that knew what they were doing. Mobs melted in few seconds.

What works quite well for me is
    - apply stoneskin before pull (pro tip xD)
    - once mobs are gathered, apply Divine Seal, followed by a regen
    - swiftcast next stoneskin followed by Presence of Mind, followed by medica 2
    - immediatly acticate Cleric Stance
    - both regen and med2 are buffed and ticking, stoneskin may still be up, time to give it some holy while still in PoM
    - depending on Tank, RNG, Damage overall, stop Cleric Stance and go back to healing.

I prefer SCH with 2 BLM. Spellspeed buff, and the ability to run full Clerics on bosses (and half the second pull) really helps.

Well, there is actually no point to doing the Expert roulette when capped on Soldiery tomewise. Getting 6k gil by queueing as an adventurer in need, however... that's always okay. Any day I'm not soldiery capped, I do both the Expert and Trial roulettes to get between 80-90 Soldiery, 100 or so Myth, and 12k gil for less than an hour of work. Of course, such methods require having a Tank and Healer geared enough to do everything, as neither of those roulettes are fond of calling for DPS.

Actually is Ct still not the best source for soldiery?
I usually still run it to cap on soldiery but for myth just keep doing brayflox.
I really do not see any point of doing duty roulette anymore actually.
As for the topic on hand, i would agree that blm and Bard is best combo. Have tried with 2 Bards as well once, lol and 1 Bard 1 drg and 1 blm 1 drg

Who doesn't like 4 chained Flares by 2 blm when doing Speed Runs?

My preferred Brayflox HM SR lineup,
Warrior - Berserk + Overpower anyone? Higher DPS output than a Paladin.
    Scholar - Shadow Flare is just too good IMHO. Plus Miasma II. While Holy of Whitemage seems to make the run faster, I wouldn't want to risk the pulls by having only one panic button. Plus;
2 Blackmage - The damage of 2 consecutive Flares for each Blackmage is just insane.

Been consistently clearing it under 7 minutes with that lineup.

Paladin is nice as well, but they don't really contribute too much (compared to Warriors) during SRs aside from their beefiness.
