    Bray HM Speed run question

    When farming for myth, do you absolutely NEED 2 BLMs or BLM/BRD? I'm having trouble finding parties because 90% of the time I get locked out for not being BRD or BLM. I've noticed yesterday after making my own party that we can pull 2 big groups, do the bosses and quit the dungeon as SMN/DRG SMN/BRD SMN/SMN etc.

    What is so special about BLM and BRD for this dungeon?

    It's perfectly doable with other classes, people are just lazy and looking for what's easiest.
    Just keep making your own groups.

    It's pretty well agreed that BLM and BRD have the best aoe skills in the game, so people often only look for them for speed running groups. It's the same deal with speed running WP, though I doubt anyone will be doing that much anymore.

    But really, the first two bosses can still be done in under 10min. with SMN/DRG, or pretty much whatever else so long as everyone knows what to do.

    Actually gotta side with the elitists on this one.

    One way of doing the dungeon very fast is to only have 2 pulls for the entire thing. Pull at the start to the ramp (including roaming coerl), and nuke it down, grab key and lock out the adds at in front of the gate. Then pull all the goblins together and nuke them down. These adds do alot of damage. You will probably wipe if you don't load up on tank CDs. Need the blm nuke or you have a good chance of dying as their damage adds up.

    Not saving a huge amount of time with such dangerous pulls, but the hardcore people think it makes a difference.

    When you need 13500 myth every minute counts. BLMs make it faster and faster is safer with 9 mobs on the tank.

    BLM also has unlimited MP where as other DPS jobs can run out of TP spamming AOE.

    The myth grind was terribly done by SE and bottlenecks everyone into a single zone and only doing 2/3 of the run.

    The grind bottlenecks people into doing 2/3 of Brayflox over and over? We're literally forced to do this in order to get our Myth?

    Nobody is being forced to run 2/3 of Brayflox over and over. Sure, it's the "quickest" way, but it certainly isn't the easiest and it's definitely the most mind numbingly repetitive way to get Myth. It's far less soul crushing to just do all of the roulettes every day, earning about 1500 Myth every three days. Oh, there's a book.

    Really, every minute doesn't really count. Not when we have a month or more to get the Myth for the books, and that's assuming that 2.25 brings more upgrades to the Animus. At most, we have until 2.3 to get it all. So, there really is no need to rush. Get Myth in the ways that are still fun

    I quit in 2.0 and came back now... Teach me about this stuff please? D: Daily dungeons right? I normally only see a total of about 90 myth to be earned from that a day.. I think I'm missing something though. o:

    I've done these speed runs with all classes of DPS, but I'm guessing people want them to be extra speedy so they ask for bards/black mages because of the fact they can both do great AOE such as Flare, Fire II, Blizzard II, Cross Hatch, Rain of Death, etc combined with skills like Raging Strikes which increases damage by 20%.

    Plus, the bard can sing Foe's that makes the enemies more susceptible to the black mage's elemental attacks.

    There are many roulette available to us now. Here's the breakdown.

    Expert Roulette: Bonus of 25 Sold. Dungeon gives 50 Myth and 45 Sold. Total of 50 Myth and 70 Sold.
    High Level Roulette: Bonus of 50 Myth. Dungeon gives 50 Myth and 20 Sold. Total of 100 Myth and 20 Sold.
    Low Level Roulette: Bonus of 60 Myth. Total of 60 Myth.
    Story Roulette: Bonus of 80 Myth. Dungeon gives 20 Myth. Total of 100 Myth.
    Trials Roulette: Bonus of 40 Myth and 10 Sold. Trial gives 10-15 Myth and 1-5 Sold. Total of 50-55 Myth and 10-15 Sold.

    Total Myth: 360-365.

    So... I seem to have overestimated with the whole 1500/3 days argument. So it's 4 days of roulettes and an odd job to get to 1500. But hey, you can just take 30 minutes each day and do a CT run. Boom, nearly 500 that day. And, you know, I don't want to die inside every time a queue pops. Fancy that. The best kind of grinding is the grinding that manages to be fun, and it honestly baffles me how so many people zero in on the least fun way to grind things every single time.
