I just tried linking through the Square website and got a psn may be incomplete message, then tried to log in on the game and got No valid account message. Is this the same issue you are all having?
Went into support chat, admittedly I probably sounded like a bit of a douche but was unhappy at not being able to play the game

You: I can't play the game at all. On the PS4 it asks me to link my Square Enix account, which i can't
SEE Agent Francesca: linking your PSN to your SQUARE ENIX Members account is not required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS3 or PS4. To do this, please log in to your PSN account, redeem your 12 digit game code on the PSN Network and then when requested to, log in to your SQUARE ENIX ID you want to play the game on and this will link the game to your SQUARE ENIX Account which is necessary. We trust this will resolve your issue for you and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. q - can't link psn to members account so can't play game a - aware of members issue but won't stop you playing game. redeem 12 digit code on psn, then log in to sqex account to link.

You: No, its because its won't allow me to link my account, which has been an going issue with your service for months according to the forums I have been on. I played both beta's, paid £29.99 for the game and then came up against this issue.

SEE Agent Francesca: The PlayStation Network account being incomplete error does not stop you playing the game, though - if it is another error you are receiving, it will be because you downloaded the game from PSN

You: Right, well following the steps on the PS4. First you must start the game, accept the terms of service and log in to my Square Enix account, then you will be asked to link your account, then the above error occurs, so it does stop me from playing the game

You: Ive just gone through it again and it comes up no valid service account
SEE Agent Francesca: Yes, no valid service account is the PSN error I am referring to

A friend of mine bought the game just 5 minutes ago with no issue at all, maybe the problem is for who bought the game too early?
I'm very very upset
Somebody with a fast connection could try to re-download the client...

@jABASKUNDA I deleted all files from applications and all saved data as well from online storage and hardive. Final fantasy saved data can be found in the other folders. Deleted everything. Just redownloading now so should be able to let you know if that works in the next 20mins or so.. have fibre![]()
