    Coil Turns 6-9

    If there is one thing that is killing the game for me, it's the weekly lock outs. I don't understand why turns 6-9 had to be weekly lock outs. Why was it not given a loot lock out like Crystal Tower?

    It so frustrating that I can not catch up with my friends because of this. I was ecstatic when the weekly lock out was removed, I thought turn 6-9 would also be free to do at anytime. That however is not the case. Now all I can do is grind stupid soldiery tomes and the stupid atma books by myself.

    Why was it not given the loot lock out this way we can all enjoy at our own leisure? Why do I have to wait till 2.3+ for that to become unlocked and something even better comes out?

    Not this thread again. do a search, it has been discussed many times on the forums. Get a static, stop whining.

    The lockout is good, otherwise all other ppl gear their mains in about 2 months and get rid of RNG because you could run as often as you want. Furthermore, ppl would sell the new stuff once they are on farm.

    Agree with OP, if they just want to stop ppl gearing too fast, do a system to only allow looting when you win the turn the 1st time during the week, so they people can play with each other more

    First when I was reading this thread I thought it was a joke and I started laughing, but then it quickly turned to tears when I found out you are serious. Are you for real you entitled lalafel?! FFXIV is already a socialist uptopia where everybody can get everything, can you please leave some content for us hardcore progress raiders? so we actually have something to look forward to. Stop complaining and embrace the gods of RNG!

    I agree with OP here. I have just returned from my slumber and am actually alittle sad that we still have progress based on RNG... :/ It took me several months getting my first coil drop in 2.0-2.1 because RNG messed with me. I play a game, not a lottery :/ If I wanted to play a lottery I would go and play a lottery. Sorry, but I dislike that RNG partly decide how fast you will progress. Also that it makes so one can not run with several groups for helping purposes makes me alittle annoyed.

    No, RNG will not stop your progress, it just easens your progress. Your skill is stopping your progress. You have the iLvl 100 weathered stuff and 3* meldable ilvl90. Heck, look at BG's gear and they downed T9 with it, without a ton of high-allagan pieces but a ton of pentamelds.

    It's an MMO...there's always going to be RNG. If they adjusted the lockout it would be like was said earlier...you'd be locked out of rolling on the Turn once you cleared it. That wouldn't be bad but it wouldn't solve the OPs gripe other than to allow them to help friends. A guaranteed loot drop per week like CT would actually be worse in the long run because if RNG smiles on you you can get multiple drops from Coil each week to make up for a week where you got nothing. I say this because a CT style lockout would likely lock you out of EVERYTHING if you loot an item from any turn. You would have to make the painful choice whether to lot on that Turn 6 piece or let it go Greed to others and hope for your Turn 8 or 9 drop.

    Wow so many people who need to learn how to read. Please show me where I said I wanted loot switched to RNG specifically.

    My main point is I want to group with my friends, because unfortunately most duty finders or pick up groups end up being like several of the responses here, a bunch of jerks.

    I want Coils 6-9 to be a weekly loot lock out so I have a chance to do it with my friends. It sucks when I get home so late and everyone in my linkshell has done it. If it were a weekly loot lockout, they would still be able to do it.
