Exactly. Once the PS3 version is released, you'll be dealing with players from all sorts of backgrounds and personalities. Some of them will figure things out by themselves just fine. However, many of them will not have the patience to figure things out like this without becoming frustrated with the game to the point where they just don't bother anymore.

It will be benificial to SE to implement more in-game tutorials so that it keeps new players interested from the very beginning. At the end of the day, they'll be playing to have fun (I hope) so the last thing they need is to be confused and flustered when the game isn't telling them something which is actually quite important and would need to be explained through a tutorial.
